"As a child, I was always playing in the dirt and mud...I haven't changed much.

I re-discovered clay and began working in porcelain in 1991 to release creative energy and to be able to work at home with my two young children.

My work has evolved, and now is mostly centered around impressions of colors and shapes of nature, multi-fired jewelry and small sculptural pieces with layers of lustrous colors, simple curves and organic shapes which allow subtle nuances of color to highlight each piece. I like to take a natural form or natural theme, and exaggerate textures and colors to bring the question of our place in the world into the conversation.
